POSITION OPENING
Watauga County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Jailer/Detention Officer. Duties include maintaining jail security, processing and releasing inmates, serving meals and transporting inmates. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school is required. County benefit package includes health insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Salary Range $50,235 - $52,748 depending on qualifications.
