WATAUGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING, MONDAY, MAY 8, 2017
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners held a budget work session on Monday, May 8, 2017, in the Commissioners’ Board Room, Watauga County Administration Building. Those present were: Chairman Welch, Vice-Chairman Kennedy, Commissioner Hodges, Commissioner Turnbow, Commissioner Yates, County Manager Geouque, and Finance Director Pierce.
Chairman Welch called the meeting to order at 12:12 P.M.
Doug Berry, Chief of Stewart Simmons Fire Department, discussed fire tax rate increase as requested by the Commissioners.
County Manager Geouque and Finance Director Pierce continued the review of the proposed Fiscal Year 2017-2018 budget for Board discussion.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:10 P.M.
