POSITION OPENING
Watauga County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the position of Aquatics Director. Position performs difficult professional work supervising and overseeing the activities of the County aquatics program, including daily operation of the recreation and lap pools at the Watauga County Recreation Center. Position also plans, organizes, coordinates, and promotes the aquatics program. Position recruits, trains and supervises part-time employees and the management of all aquatic-related programs, equipment, and facilities. Work hours vary according to the program schedule and will include some night, weekend and holiday work. A Bachelor’s degree in recreation or physical education with emphasis in aquatic programming or equivalent experience and training is required. Applicant must possess current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Training, and Pool Operator’s Certificates. Salary Grade 10, $61,062.
