The Watauga County Tax Office is located in Boone on the second floor of the County Courthouse at 842 West King Street. All Tax Office Departments are open from 8:00 am. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Tax Office is to perform the activities necessary to list and assess all real and personal property in Watauga County, and to collect taxes based on the value of those properties.
