Facility Information

Reservations of designated Parks and Recreation Facilities are available to the public from 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.. Designated facilities include; Old Cove Creek Gym & Conference Room; Complex Tennis Courts and Softball Fields; Optimist Park & Industrial Fields, and the Tot Lot, Complex, Industrial Field, Green Valley Pool, Old Cove Creek School & Howard's Knob Picnic Shelters; the Green Valley Pool and the Complex Pool and the Complex Pool's Conference room, and the Optimist Clubhouse. Athletic facilities, (fields & Old Cove Creek Gym) may be reserved by contacting the Athletic Staff at 264-9512. Aquatic facilities may be reserved by calling the Aquatic Staff at 264-0270.

Regulations for use include: reservations are offered to responsible individuals, groups, organizations and businesses, and a contract agreement form guaranteeing this reservation must be signed in person at the Watauga County Parks and Recreation office, with fees to be paid in advance to secure the reservation. Persons who reserve facilities must leave them clean and undamaged or a penalty fee will be charged. Alcoholic beverages & LOUD MUSIC are prohibited.
