     Watauga County Parks and Recreation offers Fall League Adult Softball beginning in early August. The Recreation department offers Co-ed Softball, Women’s Softball, and four levels of Men’s Open softball during the fall season. The entry fee is $350 per team and all teams are guaranteed 11 games. Games will be played Monday – Friday with start times ranging from 6:00 pm to 9:45 pm. Play will begin the week of August 9. Registration deadline is 5:00 pm on Monday, August 2, 2010.

     Watauga County Parks and Recreation offers Adult Soccer to Watauga County residence 16 years of age and older. Two leagues of adult soccer are offered. Division A plays 11 V 11 on a 118 yd x 76 yd field and is geared toward competitive teams. Division B plays 7 V 7 on a 76 yd x 48 yd field and is geared toward recreational teams. The fall soccer program begins in early September and runs for 8 to 10 weeks. Each team plays an average of 2 games per week. Play days are Wednesday and Thursday evenings (starts time between 6:00 pm and 9:45 pm) and on Sunday afternoons (start time between 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm). The majority of games will be played on the turf fields at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex. All teams are guaranteed 11 games. Teams are required to have matching socks and matching jerseys with numbers on the back. Games will begin the week of September 6. The registration fee of $475 per team must be submitted to Watauga County Parks and Recreation along with the completed registration application no later then 5:00pm on Monday, August 30, 2010.

     Watauga County Parks and Recreation's Spring League Adult Softball begins in early April. The Recreation Department offers 6 divisions of Adult Softball during the spring season: Men’s Open A (most competitive league), Men’s Open B, Men’s Open C, Men’s Open D (recreational), Men’s Church League and Women’s Open League. The entry fee for Men’s Open A, Open B, and Open C is $515 per team and teams are guaranteed 18 games. The entry fee for Men’s Open D, Men’s Church, and Women’s Open leagues is $450 and teams are guaranteed 15 games. Games will be played Monday – Friday with start times ranging from 6:00 and 9:45 pm. Registration deadline is 5:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2010.

     Over 50 Softball League is open to men and women over the age of 50. The entry fee if $280 per team. Each team is guaranteed 10 games. Games are played on Friday nights on the new Complex Fields. Registration deadline is 5:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2010.
