POSITION OPENING
Watauga County Project on Aging is accepting applications for the full-time regular position of Senior Center Director I for the Western Watauga Community Center / Senior Center. Position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising activities at the Western Watauga Community Center. Duties include; coordinating services for the elderly, recruiting volunteers, scheduling activities, supervising meal services, maintaining records and files, and preparing reports. Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in gerontology, psychology, sociology, social work, health promotions, or related field and considerable experience in organized senior citizen programs is required. Salary Grade 11, $35,447. County benefit package includes health insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Application deadline is Friday, February 26, 2016.
